"I Watched 'Queen Of Katwe' And I Wept Like An Unrepentant Criminal"

I know I'm not the only one who gets so so emotional when watching a movie. I mean, I can't be the only one who sheds tears... with bloodshot eyes, and this very heavy chest, and I feel like opening my already wide mouth wider than normal, to cry and let it all out till I'm far spent.
So, I watched Queen of Katwe today. Old movie, yeah? But I watched it today and wept like a repentant criminal. My cousins caught me wiping my tears and jeered at me, I just had to let the tears flow.

I was moved by the zeal, the courage, the fiery passion, and fierce spirit to persevere even when nothing seemed to be moving. The rare determination to create a change from something so insignificant to people around her.  Two hours plus, I wished the movie didn't end.

Why do I feel like this movie has something to say to someone here?
"Don't be too quick to tip your Queen..." that was more than enough for me.
No matter how odd it seems to others, no matter how crude it may seem. Don't be too quick to give up on it.

That which makes you rack your brain, that which makes you stand out, that which makes you feel great... you could be your own Queen or King in it too.
Hers was Chess... What's yours?

I didn't write this, Amara did. To think that this movie has been chilling in my laptop for many months now. Well, I don't shed a tear for movies or books. It's not an Obiakpor thing, but that's just me. Lupita Nyong'o has a special place in my heart. Thanks Amara for sharing. Don't forget to share the link with your friends and foes.

Do you have any special plan for the weekend? You can share, I'll be in the comment section.
